Cylinder Block Assembly: Description and Operation

CYLINDER BLOCK
The cylinder block has a cast aluminum upper cylinder block and a cast aluminum lower cylinder block with four integral lower main bearing caps.

CRANKSHAFT
The crankshaft is supported on the bottom of the cylinder block by four steel crankshaft main bearings.
