Cylinder Block Assembly: Service Precautions

CAUTION: Torque-To-Yield Bolts
Connecting rod bolts must be replaced with new bolts. They are torque-to-yield designed and cannot be reused.

Lower Cylinder Block Retaining Bolts





Lower cylinder block retaining bolt numbers 1 through 16 must be replaced with NEW bolts. They are torque-to-yield design and cannot be reused. Do NOT lubricate lower cylinder block to upper cylinder block retaining bolts.

NOTE: Lower cylinder block must be installed and bolts tightened within four minutes of sealer application.
