Courtesy Lamp: Description and Operation

The interior courtesy lamps are controlled by the Generic Electronic Module (GEM) and are activated by the interior lamp relay. The interior lamp relay coil is grounded by the GEM when:
- A door is opened.
- Illuminated entry is requested from remote anti-theft personality module.

The courtesy lamps will turn off if:
- Ignition switch is turned to RUN.
- Illuminated entry off request is received from remote anti-theft personality module or after 25-seconds.
