Radiator Hoses (Upper)

REMOVAL





1. Remove battery. Refer to Starting and Charging.
2. Drain coolant.
3. Compress clamp tangs and disconnect upper radiator hose from radiator.
4. Compress clamp tangs and remove upper radiator hose from water bypass tube.

INSTALLATION


CAUTION: Make sure the clamps are beyond the radiator tank connector bead and placed in the center of the clamping surface of the connections.

1. Position the clamps at least 3.2 mm (1/8 inch) from each end of the hose. Coat the connection areas with an approved water-resistant sealer.
2. Compress clamp tangs and install upper radiator hose onto water bypass tube.
3. Compress clamp tangs and install upper radiator hose onto radiator.
4. Fill and bleed engine cooling system.
5. Install battery.
