Installation
1. When all tape is removed, wipe area with isopropyl alcohol and clean soft cloth. Make sure that all tape residue and road dirt is removed. A clean surface is required for application of new mouldings.2. If paint surface is damaged during removal of mouldings, service as required.
3. NOTE: Mouldings should not be installed on vehicles unless sheet metal surface temperatures exceed 27°C (80°F) and the moulding is at 21 °C (70°F) minimum.
Be sure the moulding is lined up correctly; once the tape sticks, the moulding cannot be removed.
4. Remove vinyl liner from new moulding. Do not touch or contaminate adhesive surface of moulding.
5. Tuck front end of the moulding under the windshield seal and position the moulding fore-aft flush to roof/bodyside vertical wall.
6. Push moulding into ditch (slowly working from windshield to backlite). Make sure moulding goes straight down and does not rotate while being pushed to bottom of ditch.
7. Tuck the rear end of the moulding under the backlite seal.
8. Press the moulding in with a hand roller, applying a minimum of 138 kPa (20 psi) pressure to make sure of proper adhesion.
