The door lock system consists of front and rear:

^ door latch remote control and link.
^ door latch.
^ door latch control rod knob.
^ front door handle, rear door outside handle and door latch actuating rod.
^ door lock cylinder and front door latch control cylinder rod.
^ door latch striker plate. The doors can be opened by either:
^ the door latch remote control on the door trim panel.
^ the outside door handle.

The door latch remote control is connected to the door latch by a door latch remote control link. The outside door handle is connected to the door latch by a door latch actuating rod. The door can be locked by:

^ pushing down on the door latch control rod knob which is connected to the door latch with a door latch actuating rod.
^ using the door lock cylinder (front door). The door can be unlocked by:
^ pulling outward on the door latch remote control and link.
^ using the door lock cylinder (front door). The door latch closes over the door latch striker to keep the door closed. The door latch striker is adjustable.
