Roof Panel Undercrowned

A roof sliding outer glass panel scratch can be caused by the rear of the roof panel being slightly undercrowned.

CAUTION: Excessive overbending could distort the roof panel, requiring costly metal finishing service. This procedure should be used only as a last resort.

Open the roof sliding outer glass panel slightly and compare the contour of roof panel and roof sliding outer glass panel. If the roof panel appears flattened in the center and the roof sliding outer glass panel scuffs on the underside of the roof panel, remove the roof panel from the vehicle and arch the roof panel by pushing up on underside of roof panel to increase the roof panel arch.
