Flow of Diagnosis
1. Verify the customer's original concern by operating the power seat(s) to duplicate the concern.2. Inspect to determine if one of the mechanical or electrical concerns apply:
VISUAL INSPECTION CHART
Mechanical
- Seat tracks obstructed.
- Seat at limit(s) of travel.
- Damaged front seat back pad adjusting tube.
- Damaged seat control switch and valve.
Electrical
- Open power distribution box fuse 6 power seats, 30 A.
- Loose, corroded or damaged connectors.
- Damaged switches.
- Damaged motors.
3. If the inspection reveals obvious concern(s) that can be readily identified, service as required.
4. If the concern(s) remains after the inspection, determine the symptom(s) and go to the Symptom Chart. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
