Illuminated Entry

Illuminated entry is a function of the Generic Electronic Module (GEM).

The illuminated entry system may be activated in the following ways:
- Press a button on the keyless entry keypad.
- Press the UNLOCK button on the keyless entry remote transmitter.
- This illumination will remain on for approximately 25-seconds and then automatically turn OFF.
- During this 25-second period, the system can be deactivated by turning the ignition switch to RUN position, locking the doors with the keyless entry remote transmitter or keyless entry keypad or by battery saver time out.
- Opening the front doors or rear doors from the inside of the vehicle will not turn on the system.

The system consists of:
- Generic Electronic Module.
- Wiring harness.

The GEM is mounted directly to the fuse junction panel.
