Headlamp Switch: Description and Operation

The headlamp switch contains a three-position, lighting control switch.
- The positions include OFF, PARK and HEAD.
- With the headlamp switch in the PARK lamp position (first detent), power is supplied to the front parking lamps, the rear lamps, the rear side marker lamps, the license lamp and instrument panel illumination. Ground is provided to these lamps through Circuit 57 (BK).
- With the headlamp switch in the HEAD position, power is supplied to the headlamp dimmer switch.
- If the headlamp switch is left in either the PARK or HEAD position and the driver door is opened, the chime in the generic electronic module will sound.
