Lamp Out Warning

Lamp outage is sensed by measuring the change in voltage drop across a circuit path within the rear lamp circuit.

CAUTION: Do not hook up additional lamps (such as trailer tow lamps). Do not replace bulbs with any type different from original equipment. Doing so may result in a false warning or no warning.

The lamp out warning system consists of:
^ lamp out control module located in RH rear inner fender behind luggage compartment trim panel.
^ warning indicator in the instrument cluster.

The system operates when the ignition switch is in ACC or RUN and the headlamp switch is in PARK or HEAD position.
