REMOVAL1. Raise vehicle on a hoist.
CAUTION: Do not raise vehicle by rear suspension tension strut and bushing. Damage to rear suspension tension strut and bushing may result.
2. Remove nuts, washers and lower suspension arm stabilizer bar insulator retaining rear stabilizer bar to right side and left side links. Discard nuts.
3. Remove and discard bolts retaining stabilizer bar brackets and rear stabilizer bar to body and remove rear stabilizer bar.
4. Remove lower suspension arm stabilizer bar insulators from rear stabilizer bar.
INSTALLATION
1. Install the lower suspension arm stabilizer bar insulator on the rear stabilizer bar.
NOTE: If the rear stabilizer bar brackets are reinstalled, clean the insulator inside diameter with a bottle brush to remove any dirt or paint build-up. Lube the insulators using Rubber Suspension Insulator Lube E25Y-19553-A or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESF-M99B112-A.
2. Position rear stabilizer bar, stabilizer bar brackets and lower suspension arm stabilizer bar insulators on body. Install new bolts. Tighten to 34-46 Nm (25-33 ft. lbs.).
3. Position rear stabilizer bar onto rear stabilizer bar links. Install lower suspension arm stabilizer bar insulators, washers and new nuts on the rear stabilizer bar link. Tighten nuts to 7-9 Nm (62-79 inch lbs).
4. Lower vehicle.
