Wagon

REMOVAL
1. Raise vehicle on hoist.
2. Support vehicle with jackstands under rear suspension arm and bushings so lower suspension rear stabilizer bar link and bushings are neutralized.





3. Remove and discard two bolts and nuts retaining stabilizer bar brackets to rear suspension arm and bushing.





4. Clean rear stabilizer bar end of dirt and other contamination and slide stabilizer bar bracket off of stabilizer bar end. Inspect stabilizer bar bracket. Replace stabilizer bar bracket if damaged or worn.
5. Remove and discard two bolts and nuts retaining rear stabilizer bar link and bushings assemblies to body brackets.





6. Remove rear stabilizer bar and rear stabilizer bar link and bushings assemblies from vehicle.
INSTALLATION





1. Install rear stabilizer bar and rear stabilizer bar link and bushings assemblies on vehicle. Attach rear stabilizer bar link and bushings to body brackets with two new bolts and nuts. Tighten bolts to 60-80 Nm (44-59 ft. lbs.).





2. Slide stabilizer bar bracket on both ends of rear stabilizer bar.

NOTE: If the rear stabilizer bar brackets are reinstalled, clean the insulator inside diameter with a bottle brush to remove any dirt or paint build-up. Lube the insulators using Rubber Suspension Insulator Lube E25Y-19553-A or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESF-M99B112-A.





3. Position stabilizer bar bracket on rear suspension arm and bushings and install two new bolts and nuts. Tighten bolts to 19-26 Nm (14-19 ft. lbs.).
