Keyless Entry: Description and Operation

Two levels of door lock control systems are available:
- Driver's Door Only Remote System.
- Full Four Door Remote System with Anti-Theft.







Driver Door Only

NOTE: Driver door only level, has no power door lock switches.

The driver door only level power door lock is controlled through the RAP module by signals sent from the keyless entry remote transmitter. The RAP module receives the signal and performs the following functions:
- UNLOCK/LOCK driver door.
- Release luggage compartment door (sedan only).
- UNLOCK/LOCK liftgate (wagon only).

To lock or unlock driver door, press LOCK or UNLOCK on the keyless entry remote transmitter. To unlock the liftgate (wagon only), press the UNLOCK button a second time, within five seconds of the first UNLOCK. To release the luggage compartment door (sedan only), press the TRUNK button.












Full Four Door Remote System
The full four door system power door locks are controlled through the RAP module by the LH or RH front power door lock switch or the keyless entry remote transmitter. The keyless entry remote transmitter controls:
- UNLOCK driver door.
- LOCK/UNLOCK all doors.
- LOCK/UNLOCK liftgate (wagon only).
- Luggage compartment door (TRUNK) release (sedan only).
- Activation/Deactivation PANIC alarm.
- Anti-theft features, if equipped.

To release the luggage compartment door (sedan only), press the TRUNK button on the keyless entry remote transmitter. To unlock the liftgate (wagon only), press the UNLOCK button a second time, within five seconds of the first UNLOCK.
