Flow of Diagnosis

1. Verify the customer concern by operating the power outside rear view mirror system.
2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical and electrical damage.

VISUAL INSPECTION CHART

Mechanical
- Damaged outside rear view mirror control switch
- Damaged outside rear view mirror(s)

Electrical
- Blown fuse:
- 5A MIRR
- Circuit power
- Damaged power outside rear view mirror
- Damaged power outside rear view mirror control switch
- Loose or corroded connectors

3. If an obvious cause for an observed or reported malfunction is found, correct the cause (if possible) before proceeding to the next step.
4. If the fault is not visually evident, verify the symptom and refer to the Symptom Chart. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
