Parking Brake System: Adjustments

Park Brake. Signal Switch Adjuster:

PARKING BRAKE CONTROL STROKE
- Check that the parking brake control stroke is five to seven notches when pulled up.

PARKING BRAKE INITIAL ADJUSTMENT
- Put the vehicle in reverse and apply the parking brake several times while in motion.
- Turn the parking brake control adjustment nut until the parking brake control stroke is five to seven notches when pulled with the force shown.
- Verify that the rear brakes do not drag.
