A1- CHECK FOR MISADJUSTED PARKING BRAKE REAR CABLE AND CONDUITS
- perform Park brake cable adjustment procedure.
- Does the parking brake now engage properly?
YES - Vehicle OK.
NO - Go to A2.

A2- CHECK FOR WORN BRAKE SHOES
- Inspect the brake shoes and linings for excessive wear.
- Are the brake shoes and linings OK?
YES - Go to A3.
NO - Replace the worn shoes and linings. Retest.

A3- CHECK FOR DAMAGED PARKING BRAKE REAR CABLES AND CONDUITS
- Inspect the parking brake rear cable and conduits for damage, rust, fraying or cause of binding.
- Are the parking brake rear cable and conduits OK?
YES - Check for other causes such as loose parking brake control or conventional brake system components.
NO - Replace the damaged parking brake rear cable and conduits.
