Fuel Injector: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Remove the fuel rail.






2. Grasp the fuel injector body and pull up while gently twisting to remove the fuel injector.

INSTALLATION

NOTE: Lubricate the fuel injector O-ring seal with 5W30 engine oil prior to installation to help seal and ease the installation.






1. Install the fuel injectors using a light, twisting, downward motion.
2. Install the fuel injection supply manifold.
3. Start the engine and let it idle while inspecting for fuel leaks.
