Flex Plate: Testing and Inspection

INSPECT





Inspect the flex plate (6375) for:
- Any (A) cracks.
- Worn (B) ring gear teeth.
- Chipped or cracked (C) ring gear teeth.

RUNOUT





Use Radial Runout Gauge 007-0056A or equivalent to inspect the flex plate ring gear runout.
- Set the gauge on the flywheel ring gear surface and turn the flex plate to measure runout.

Maximum runout: 1.5 mm (0.06 inch).
