Electronic Door Lock Control System
The electronic door lock control system consists of three main components:
- Driver Door Module (DDM)
- five-button keyless entry keypad on the driver door
- four-button (hand-held) keyless entry remote transmitter
The DDM will perform the following functions:
- unlock driver door
- unlock all doors
- unlock luggage compartment door
- lock all doors.
- automatically lock all doors when all doors are closed, the ignition switch is in RUN, someone is seated in the driver seat, and the transmission is shifted into any forward or reverse gear.
- provide a signal to the Lighting Control Module (LCM) to:
- turn on interior lamps and keyless entry keypad after any button on the keyless entry keypad is pushed.
- turn on interior lamps when using the keyless entry remote transmitter.
- activate and deactivate personal security feature which sounds horn and flashes park lamps.
The DDM will also accept and store four additional alternate entry codes. Any of these codes will then operate the system.
The alarm and lock system antenna used in this system is part of the DDM and can only be repaired by replacing the DDM.
