Mirror Bracket






REMOVAL
1. Remove inside rear view mirror and mark location of inside rear view mirror bracket on the outside of windshield glass.
2. Protect the windshield glass with a cloth then use pliers to twist the inside rear view mirror bracket off the windshield glass. Scrape off any of the remaining inside rear view mirror pad off the windshield glass using a clean, new razor blade.

INSTALLATION
1. Make sure windshield glass, inside rear view mirror bracket and adhesive kit Rearview Mirror Adhesive D9AZ-19554-CA or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESB-M2G176-A are at least 18-24°C (65-75°F).
2. Locate and mark the inside rear view mirror bracket location on the outside surface of the windshield glass.
3. Thoroughly clean bonding surfaces of windshield glass and inside rear view mirror bracket to remove old adhesive. Use mild abrasive cleaner on windshield glass and fine sandpaper on inside rear view mirror bracket to lightly roughen surface. Wipe clean with isopropyl alcohol-moistened cloth.
4. Crush accelerator vial (part of Rearview Mirror Adhesive D9AZ-19554-CA or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESB-M2G176-A) and apply accelerator to bonding surface of inside rear view mirror bracket and windshield glass. Let dry for three minutes.
5. Apply two drops of Rearview Mirror Adhesive D9AZ-19554-CA or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESB-M2G176-A to the mounting surface of the inside rear view mirror bracket. Using a clean toothpick or wooden match, quickly spread the adhesive evenly over the mounting surface of the inside rear view mirror bracket.
6. Quickly position the inside rear view mirror bracket on the windshield glass. The 9.5 mm (3/8 Inch) circular depression in the inside rear view mirror bracket must be toward the bottom edge and toward the inside of the passenger compartment. Press the inside rear view mirror bracket firmly against the windshield glass for one minute.
7. Allow the bond to set for five minutes. Remove any excess bonding material from the windshield glass with an alcohol-moistened cloth. After bond has set re-install the inside rear view mirror.
