Manual Recliner - Split Bench

REMOVAL
1. Remove spring clip retaining front seat back adjusting handle and remove front seat back adjusting handle from front seat back latch.

NOTE: The manual front seat back latch is a modular design and components cannot be serviced or replaced individually. The entire front seat back latch assembly must be replaced if any component is non-functional or damaged.

2. Detach J-retainer and arrow retainers at outboard rear corner and J-retainer from cushion frame side. Pull back trim cover.
3. Remove push pin retainers and remove trim cover from front seat back latch.
4. Disconnect front seat back pad adjusting tube (if equipped).
5. Remove two screws retaining front seat back latch to track on outboard side and pivot bolt on inboard side. Remove front seat back assembly.
6. Detach J-retainers at bottom of front seat back assembly and pull up front seat back cover.
7. Remove two screws retaining front seat back latch to front seat back frame and remove front seat back latch.

INSTALLATION
1. Follow removal procedure in reverse order.

NOTE: Check front seat back latch for proper operation prior to positioning front seat back cover and front seat back.

2. Tighten front seat back latch retaining screws to 23-32 N.m (17-23 Lb-Ft).
