Cylinder Head Assembly: Description and Operation

The configuration of the valve train consists of a hydraulic valve tappet providing automatic lash adjustment.

The camshaft lobe transfers its up-and-down motion to the rocker arms.

The camshafts are seated in journal bores on top of the cylinder head.

The valves are arranged alternately - intake valve / exhaust valve.
