Flow of Diagnosis

1. Verify the customer's original concern by operating the brake pedal to duplicate the condition.
2. Inspect to determine if one of the following mechanical or electrical concerns apply:

VISUAL INSPECTION CHART

Mechanical
- Damaged multi-function switch.
- Damaged Brake Pedal Position (BPP) switch.

Electrical
- Circuitry open/shorted.
- Open fuse function panel, Fuse 1 (15 A), Fuse 5 (15 A), Fuse 6 (15 A), Fuse 8 (15 A) circuit breaker 12 (18 A) Fuse 13 (15 A).
- Damaged connectors.

3. If the inspection reveals obvious concern(s) that can be readily identified, service as required.
4. If the concern(s) remains after the inspection, determine the symptom(s) and go to the Symptom Chart.
