Shift Linkage: Adjustments
NOTE: Transmission control linkage adjustments should be performed in the order in which they appear.1. Place transmission range selector lever in (D) position. A weight of 1.4 kg (3 lbs.) should be hung on the transmission range selector lever to ensure the lever is located firmly on the (D) detent. Loosen shift cable retaining nut at manual control lever lever.
2. Move manual control lever to (D) position, second detent from most forward position.
3. Tighten shift cable retaining nut at manual control lever to 17 - 23 Nm (13 - 17 ft. lbs.).
4. Check operation of transmission in each transmission range. Make sure that park mechanism and Transmission Range (TR) sensor are functioning properly.
