Radio/Stereo: Description and Operation

Sound Systems
There are three combinations of audio system components available on Contour, Mystique vehicles as original equipment:
- Electronic Search Radio (ESR) audio control unit
- Electronic Search Radio with digital audio compact disc player
- Electronic Search Cassette (ESC) audio control unit.

Base System
The bass system consists of an audio control unit and four speakers.

Premium System
The premium system consist of an audio control unit, audio amplifier and four premium speakers.

Cassette Tape Player
Before turning off the audio control unit or the ignition switch, always EJECT any cassette being played. Leaving the tape mechanism stopped while a tape is engaged can result in damage to the tape, pinch roller or capstan.
