Water Pump: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Drain the cooling system.
3. Remove the RH lower splash shield.
1 Remove the four bolts.
2 Remove the splash shield.





4. Lower the vehicle.





5. Remove the coolant expansion tank.
1 Disconnect the hose.
2 Remove the bolts.
3 Remove the expansion tank.






6. Install the engine support.





7. Remove the front engine support bracket.
1 Remove the nuts.
2 Remove the bolts.
3 Remove the bracket.





8. Loosen the water pump pulley bolts.
9. Remove the accessory drive belt.





10. Remove the water pump pulley.
1 Remove the bolts.
2 Remove the pulley.





11. Remove the water pump bolts.

NOTE: Water pump must be turned 180� to remove from the vehicle.





12. Remove the water pump.

INSTALLATION











1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
2. Refill the cooling system.
