Vehicle Lifting: Locations

Jack Placement Points

WARNING: ALWAYS POSITION THE VEHICLE ON A HARD LEVEL SURFACE. IF THE VEHICLE MUST BE JACKED UP ON A SOFT SURFACE USE LOAD SPREADING BLOCKS UNDER THE JACK. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS WILL RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY.

Before commencing any repairs that involve jacking the vehicle, it is essential that the following instructions are fully understood.

It is important that only the correct jacking and support locations are used at all times.

The vehicle may be lifted by positioning a floor jack under the outer rocker panel. The location is identified by an arrow symbol stamped in the outer rocker panel. Use a cushioned pad, if possible, to avoid damaging body paint.
