Ignition Switch: Description and Operation

The ignition switch is mounted on the steering column housing. The ignition switch is activated by the ignition switch lock cylinder through a pin which is part of the ignition switch. The ignition switch lock cylinder also controls the mechanism which provides a positive lock for the steering system. The lock mechanism is located in the steering column housing.
