Parts Ordering Information

Initially, parts will be direct shipped utilizing interim orders; subsequent orders will be shipped via stock orders. The first shipment will be approximately 10 to 20% of the estimated number of affected vehicles to be serviced at your dealership. Additional quantities will be shipped as parts become available at your facing depot.

Dealers will be notified via DOESII when normal parts ordering is authorized.

NOTE:
It is estimated that less than 5% of affected vehicles will require headlight switch replacement. Therefore, the quantity of headlight switches shipped will equal approximately 5% of the total number of Wiring kits shipped to you. To avoid parts shortages and reduced customer satisfaction due to extensive vehicle down time, you should not replace the headlight switch unless it fails the inspection procedure found in step # 7 of the technical instructions.

NOTE:
In the rare case where inspection (step # 7 of attachment III) reveals that melting has occurred and headlight switch replacement is required, install part number F5RZ-11654-J. This switch will also be direct shipped for this Recall.

Please ensure that technicians completing this Recall service do not replace headlight switches unnecessarily (see step # 7 of the Recall Technical Instructions).
