Seat Latch: Description and Operation
The front seat back latch system contains the following features:^ The reclining seat back is adjusted by a front seat back latch on the outboard side of the seat cushion.
^ The seat back reclines when the latch is pulled and lifted upward, the seat back is pushed to the desired position and the latch is released.
^ The seat back returns to its full-up position with spring action when the latch is lifted and occupant back pressure is removed.
The entire front seat back latch must be replaced if any component is non-functional or damaged. It is a modular design and components cannot be serviced or replaced individually.
