REMOVAL
1. Remove front seat cushion side shield and disconnect electrical connectors and vacuum lines to seat regulator control switch and seat control switch, if equipped.

NOTE: Service of the front seat back latch components should not be attempted. The front seat back latch must be replaced as a unit.

2. Remove screws retaining front seat back latch to front seat track.
3. Remove seat back panel from rear of front seat back by pushing down and pulling out at the top of the panel to disengage retaining clips.
4. Release the outboard seat back cover retainer. Pull back a small portion of front seat back cover to expose two screws retaining front seat back latch to front seat back frame.
5. Remove bolts retaining the front seat back latch to front seat back frame.
6. Remove front seat back latch.

INSTALLATION
1. Position front seat back latch to front seat back frame. Install retaining bolts and tighten to 26-34 N.m (20-25 Lb-Ft).
2. Position front seat back latch to front seat track assembly. Install retaining bolts and tighten to 44-60 N.m (33-44 Lb-Ft).
3. Install seat back cover outboard plastic J-retainer.
4. Install panel to rear of front seat back.
5. Position front seat cushion side shield to seat and install. Connect any disconnected wires and vacuum lines.
6. Check the restraint system for proper operation.
