Enabling and Disabling Features
The enable/disable mode allows the assembly plant and service technician (if the incorrect configuration is suspected) to set the alarm configuration of the remote anti-theft personality module to match the laws for alarm operation in the country where the vehicle is to be driven (refer to Worldwide Alarm Configurations Chart). The enable/disable mode also allows the owner to enable/disable the autolock.
- The alarm configurations shown in the chart are set by the assembly plant for regulations in the expected destination and should not be modified for use in countries other than as listed in the table.
- The remote activated panic alarm will share the exterior lamps and horn characteristics.
- The panic alarm will turn on interior lamps in all cases for 25 seconds.
- Alarm Triggers means the number of times the anti-theft system can trigger between disarm events. Locations not listed are assumed to use North America standards.
The enable/disable mode is entered when the following series of steps occurs:
NOTE: Steps 3 through 6 must be executed within 30 seconds of turning ignition switch to RUN in Step 2.

An additional long horn honk will follow after the horn chirps if the feature has been enabled. No horn honk will follow the horn chirps if the feature was disabled.
9. After a horn chirp sequence has occurred in the enable/disable mode, another enable/disable sequence may be performed.
10. To exit enable/disable mode, turn ignition switch OFF (or allow five minutes to pass after entering enable mode). Upon exiting, the system will confirm the exit with a honk chirp if a feature has been changed.
