Flow of Diagnosis

1. Verify the customer's concern by operating the outside rear view mirrors to duplicate the condition.
2. Inspect the components to determine it any of the following mechanical or electrical conditions are present:

VISUAL INSPECTION CHART

Mechanical
^ Damaged outside rear view mirrors
^ Damaged outside rear view mirror control

Electrical
^ Open fuse, fuse junction panel
- Fuse 22 (5 A)
- Fuse 32 (5 A)
- Fuse 5 (5 A)
^ Damaged heated back window relay
^ Damage to wiring harness
^ Loose or corroded connections

3. If the inspection reveals obvious concerns that can be readily identified, service as required.
4. If the concerns remain after the inspection, determine the symptoms and Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
