Power Six-Way

The six-way power seat system contains the following features:
^ a rack and pinion-type drive for seat adjustment
^ horizontal, vertical and tilt adjustments
^ a reversible seat regulator motor, seat regulator control switch, vertical rack and pinion and horizontal rack and pinion drives
^ the mechanical portion of the front seat track in the horizontal drive consists of a rack and pinion drive on each track with a transmission on the inboard side.

The front armature and the horizontal drive units are activated when the seat regulator control switch is actuated.

The seat moves forward or rearward by means of the rack mounted to the lower track traveling through the pinion and transmission housing on each upper track.

The seat regulator motor and transmission are serviced only by replacing the entire front seat track.

The seat regulator control switch is serviced separately.
