Brake Light Switch: Description and Operation

The BPP:
^ provides power to the rear stoplamps and rear hi-mount lamp.
^ provides a signal to various other systems including:
^ anti-lock brake control module.
^ Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
^ shift lock actuator.
^ speed control amplifier.
^ lamp out module (if equipped).
^ remote anti-theft personality module (if equipped with keyless entry).

Power is provided to the BPP:
^ through fuse junction panel Fuse 28 (15 A), which is HOT AT ALL TIMES.
^ on Circuit 10 (LG/R).

Ground to stoplamps is provided by Circuit 57 (BK).
