Turn Signals: Description and Operation






The turn signal system consists of:
^ the turn signal bulbs.
^ the electronic indicator flasher.
^ the multi-function switch.
^ circuit wiring and circuit protection.

The electronic indicator flasher is:
^ provided power through fuse junction panel Fuse 15 (10 A) which is HOT in RUN.
^ supplied power by Circuit 1039 (BK/Y).
^ connected to the turn signal switch portion of the multi-function switch through Circuit 44 (LB).
^ provided ground by the turn signal bulbs on Circuit 57 (BK).

With the multi-function switch in the RH position:
^ power is supplied to the RH front turn signal bulbs and the RH turn indicator in the instrument cluster through Circuit 2 (W/LB).
^ power is supplied to the RH rear turn signal bulb through Circuit 5 (O/LB).

With the multi-function switch in the LH position:
^ power is supplied to the LH front turn signal bulbs and the LH turn indicator in the instrument cluster through Circuit 3 (LG/W).
^ power is supplied to the LH rear turn signal bulbs through Circuit 9 (LG/O).
