Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

1. Verify the customer's concern(s) by operating the engine to duplicate the condition.
2. Inspect to determine if any of the following mechanical concerns apply:

Mechanical
- Drive belt noise or squeal.
- Pulley misaligned or excessive pulley runout.

3. Inspect for drive belt cracking/chunking/wear.
4. If the concern(s) remain after the inspections, determine the symptoms and go to the Symptom Chart.
