Rear

NOTE: Sedan and station wagon models have unique rear suspension systems.

SEDAN

On the MacPherson strut independent rear suspension, the following components may be replaced individually or as assemblies:
^ Gas-pressurized shock absorbers and rear shock absorber brackets are serviced separately. It is not necessary to replace shock absorbers in pairs. Replace only the damaged shock absorber.
^ Rear suspension arm bushings are not serviceable. They must be replaced with a rear suspension arm and bushing assembly.
^ Rear suspension tension strut and bushing and rear suspension tie rod bushing may be replaced individually.
^ Rear springs may be replaced individually.
^ All stabilizer bar components may be replaced individually.

STATION WAGON

^ Gas-pressurized shock absorbers are serviced as an assembly. Replace only the damaged shock absorber. It is not necessary to replace them in pairs.
^ Upper rear suspension arm and bushings and lower rear suspension arm and bushings are serviced as assemblies. The bushings are not serviceable.
^ The rear suspension tie rod bushing, rear strut body end bushing and rear suspension tension strut and bushing may be serviced individually.
^ Rear stabilizer bar and stabilizer bar bracket are serviceable. The rear stabilizer bar link and bushing is serviced as an assembly.
