Cruise Control Servo: Service and Repair

REMOVAL







1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.







2. Disconnect the speed control servo electrical connector.







3. Remove the speed control actuator cable cap.
1 Depress the speed control actuator cable cap retaining tab.
2 Rotate the speed control actuator cable cap counterclockwise.







4. Slide the (A) speed control actuator cable end from the (B) speed control actuator cable groove and remove the speed control actuator cable.







5. Remove the speed control servo and bracket assembly.
1 Remove the bolts.
2 Remove the nut.
3 Remove the speed control servo and bracket assembly.

NOTE: The speed control servo and speed control servo bracket are replaced individually.







INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTE: When the battery is disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the vehicle relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 miles) or more to relearn the strategy.
