Flow of Diagnosis

1. Verify the customer concern by operating the backup lamps.
2. Visually inspect for the following obvious signs of mechanical and electrical damage.

VISUAL INSPECTION CHART

Mechanical
^ Damaged backup lamp switch (M/T)
^ Damaged Transmission Range (TR) switch (A/T)

Electrical
^ Blown fuse:
- 10A METER
- 15A ENGINE
^ Damaged wiring harness
^ Loose, damaged, or corroded connectors
^ Blown bulbs
^ Transmission range (TR) switch (A/T) or backup lamp switch (M/T)

3. If the fault is not visually evident, verify the symptom and Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
