Headlamp: Adjustments

NOTE: Right side shown, left side similar.

1. Before beginning the headlamp adjustment, perform the following:
^ Check for proper tire inflation
^ Fill the fuel tank.
^ Remove excess cargo.
^ Position the vehicle on a flat, level surface.
^ Rock the vehicle by hand several times.







2. Adjust the headlamp vertical aim using the outboard headlamp adjusting screw.







3. Adjust the headlamp horizontal aim using the inboard headlamp adjusting screw.

NOTE: The R and L markings correspond to the direction right and left for the horizontal aim indicator. If the horizontal indicator is not aligned with the "O," the direction of aim can be determined by these markings.







4. Make sure the vertical aiming gauge is within two lines of "O."







5. Make sure the line between the threads and the knurling on the horizontal aiming screw is on the "O."
