Removal
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.
3. Disconnect the power steering return hose from the steering gear.
4. Disconnect the power steering pressure hose from the steering gear.
5. Remove the strap holding the hoses to the steering gear and discard.
6. Disconnect the power steering pressure hose from the power steering pump. Cap the power steering pressure hose and power steering pump.
7. Lower the vehicle.
8. Remove the (A) bolts and remove the (B) power steering pressure hose and brackets.
9. Disconnect the fuel charging wiring electrical connectors.
10. Remove the (A) bolt and position the (B) fuel charging wiring support bracket aside.
11. Disconnect the power steering pressure (PSP) switch electrical connector.
12. Remove the lower power steering hose retaining bracket bolt.
13. Remove the (A) upper power steering hose retaining bracket screw and open the (B) bracket.
14. Remove the lower power steering hose bracket nut and separate the bracket from the hoses.
15. Remove the screw from the middle power steering hose bracket and separate from the hoses.
16. Remove the power steering return hose retainer bracket bolt.
17. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the power steering return hose from the power steering pump reservoir.
18. Remove the hoses from the vehicle.
NOTE: After the removal of the power steering hoses it is necessary to remove and discard the O-ring seals.
