Fuel Injector: Service and Repair

1. Perform the fuel pressure release procedure.
2. Remove the fuel injection supply manifold.
3. Remove the fuel injectors.
- Grasp the fuel injector body and pull up while gently twisting to remove the fuel injectors.







4. Inspect the fuel injector O-rings. Replace as required.
5. Inspect the fuel injector cap and body. Replace components as required.







INSTALLATION
1. Lubricate the O-rings lightly with Engine Oil XO-5W30-QSP or equivalent meeting Ford specification WSS-M2C153-G.

CAUTION: Never use silicone grease. It will clog the fuel injectors.

2. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
