Front
REMOVAL1. Support the engine with a Three-Bar Engine Support D88L-6000-A.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.
3. Remove the (A) lug nuts and the (B) wheel and tire assembly.
4. Remove the (A) bolts and the (B) crossmember.
5. Remove the four nuts securing the steering gear mounting brackets.
6. Position the steering gear slightly forward.
7. Remove the stabilizer bar link.
1 Remove the front stabilizer bar end nut.
2 Remove the front stab end bolt.
3 Remove the upper front stabilizer bar end retainer.
4 Remove the front stabilizer bar end bushing above the front stabilizer bar. Remove the front stabilizer bar end bushing below the front stabilizer bar.
6 Remove the front stabilizer bar spacer.
7 Remove the front stabilizer bar end bushing above the front sub-frame.
8 Remove the front stabilizer bar end bushing below the front sub-frame.
9 Remove the lower front stabilizer bar end retainer.
8. Remove the (A) transaxle insulator nuts and the (B) two rear engine support to vehicle frame nuts.
9. Lower the end of the transaxle support crossmember.
10. Position High Lift Trans Jack to support the sub-frame.
11. Remove the front sub-frame to vehicle frame nuts.
NOTE: The engine and transaxle mounts will support the front sub-frame when unbolting the front sub-frame from the vehicle frame.
12. Remove the bolts (rear) securing the front sub-frame to the vehicle frame and lower the front sub-frame.
13. Lower the front sub-frame.
14. Remove the front stabilizer bar bolts from the front sub-frame and remove front stabilizer bar.
INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
NOTE: Tighten the front stabilizer bar link nuts so that 17-19 mm (0.67-0.75 inch) of thread is exposed.
