ISSUE

A no restart may occur after a short drive in cold ambient temperature of -29°C (.20° F), or the cooling fan may not turn oft with key out of the ignition on some vehicles. This may result in a discharged battery. These concerns may be due to water or ice accumulation in the Integrated Relay Control Module (IRCM).

ACTION

Replace the IRCM with a revised moisture resistant IRCM. Refer to the appropriate Escort/Tracer Workshop Manual for diagnostic, removal, and installation procedures.
