Rear Wiper Motor

REMOVAL







1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.







2. Remove the rear wiper output arm cover.







3. Remove the rear window wiper pivot arm nut.
4. Pull upward and twist to remove the rear wiper pivot arm.
5. Remove the liftgate door trim panel.







6. Peel back the liftgate watershield.







7. Disconnect the rear window wiper motor electrical connector.







8. Remove the bolts and washers and the rear window wiper motor.

INSTALLATION







1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
^ If necessary, adjust the pivot arms.

NOTE: When the battery is disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the vehicle relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 mi) or more to relearn the strategy.
