Rotating Torque Check
NOTE: The rotational torque of a used A/C compressor should be checked if excessive A/C compressor drag is suspected. It may be necessary to remove the A/C compressor from the vehicle for this test.1. Reclaim the refrigerant.
2. Remove the A/C compressor.
3. Rotate the A/C compressor shaft clockwise. Note the torque required to rotate the shaft one complete rotation. Verify noted torque is less than 10 Nm.
4. Install the A/C compressor.
5. Charge the system and leak test.
