Battery: Description and Operation

The battery fitted is a 12 volts (DC) high cold cranking amperage type.

The battery cables consist of heavy duty ground and power cables with soldered eyelets, They are bolted to the battery clamp distributor plates which are of dissimilar size to avoid reverse connection. A separate starter solenoid wire has an electrical connection at the battery end and a bolted attachment at the starter motor. Both the ground and power cables have bolted attachments to the engine block, starter motor and shorting bar.
