Body and Frame: Description and Operation

TRIM, INTERIOR
This system covers removal and installation of:
^ interior mouldings.
^ trim components.
In most instances, one component overlaps another component. If this condition is found, it will be necessary to loosen or remove the overlapping component before removal of the desired component.

The interior trim has the following features:
^ The door trim panels are vinyl-covered plastic with cloth insert on Sable.
^ Carpeting covers the floor and cargo areas.
^ The package tray trim panel is made of fiberboard with a sheet metal screen for the rear speakers.
^ The remaining trim panels are plastic.
^ Most of the interior trim panels use concealed fasteners. The installation procedures show the location of each fastener.

TRIM PANEL, ROOF
The roof trim panel is a one-piece design that covers the entire roof.

CARPETS, FLOOR
The floor carpet is a one-piece design that covers the floor from the instrument panel to the top of the rear floor riser.
